Your Distance, Your Adventure, Your Palace to Palace

Whether you walk a mile every day, run a marathon over the course of the week or set an epic team cycling challenge, everyone’s welcome. Where will Your Palace to Palace take you?

Your distance

Join our Prince’s Trust Strava community with other Your Palace to Palace participants and link your account to your JustGiving page so friends and family can see your progress.  After every ride or walk your miles will automatically appear on your JustGiving page so your supporters can see you in action!

If you don’t have a Strava account, you can create one here, or if you are already using another tracking app or prefer to try a different one, please do use whatever you are most comfortable with and whatever works best for you. Or just get out there and enjoy the adventure!

Your Adventure

Get together to go the distance for young people and set off an adventure to help young people learn new skills, discover opportunities and rebuild optimism.

  • Find a local landmark to aim for and enjoy the view when you get there
  • Plan a circular route around your local area
  • Walk from your palace to a mates’ palace, and enjoy a celebration when you get there!
  • Plan your route using websites and apps such as Viewranger, MapMyRide and Walks with Wheelchairs which offer a range of lovely routes to pick from

The options are limitless, but please do refer to the latest government advice for your area when taking part in the challenge.

Your Palace to Palace

To help you make the most of Your Palace to Palace we’ve gathered some top tips for riders, walkers and rollers who have smashed it in the past:

  • Be passionate about the why, it will keep you going when you’re knackered with another hill to conquer 
  • Your mind and body are capable of doing more than you think. Aim for more than you think you can!
  • Do it with a friend or a team, step up for each other and enjoy the journey
  • Share your progress on social media, you might just be surprised by the connections with are re-made 
  • Set your own challenge. Why not buy a one-way train ticket and travel home under your own steam? Or trek along a river from source to sea? Plan a route that spells out Palace to Palace on GPS? Whatever you go for, get creative and make it your own!
  • You are contributing to something incredible, give yourself a huge pat on the back and celebrate your success!
