Boost your fundraising

Your fundraising will help young people take that essential first step, and we are here to support you every step of the way!

We’ve shared our top tips to make every mile count below, along with some top resources to get you started.

  • Take the first step Donate to your page to kickstart your fundraising. Show your potential supporters how committed you are - on average, people who self-donate raise 54% more!

  • Ask the boss! Find out if your employer offers matched giving or would like to give a donation. Add your donation page link to your email signature, see if you can publicise your story on your intranet to help generate sponsorship.

  • Get creative with your fundraising Host a finish line barbecue, a palaces pub quiz, or a sweepstake competition to raise more money and take the opportunity to show your supporters just how far their donations will go.

  • Spread the word Your friends and family will be so proud of you for taking on this challenge, as long as they know it's happening…Share your challenge plans on your social media pages, add it to your email signature and shout it from the rooftops - you’re doing something incredible!

  • Get involved Make sure you check out our Facebook and Strava groups for updates and discover a whole community offering help and support.

  • Thank your sponsors It’s up to you how you want to do this, some people send emails, some send cards, whatever works for you. The most important thing is that you make sure you take the time to thank the people that donated to your cause - they’re doing an amazing thing!
